The public evening tour on March 28, 2017, at the ETH Library is dedicated to the journey of historical maps into the digital world. Organized by the Zurich Map Center (Map Collection of the Zurich Central Library and ETH Library Maps), the event aims to highlight the various ways in which historical maps and atlases from the libraries’ and collections’ holdings can be researched on the available platforms (including Kartenportal.ch, e-rara.ch, ETHorama, and oldmapsonline.org), and what distinguishes these platforms.
