Fribourg in Maps and Views

The City Archives’ exhibition at the Gutenberg Museum, titled PASSAGESÜBERGÄNGE, features sixty unique works from the donation by Jean Dubas (1818–2003), reflecting the diverse character of the canton and the city of Fribourg in the 18th and 19th centuries. The drawings and prints, straddling tradition and modernity, bear witness to the loosening of medieval constraints, the construction of the two suspension bridges, and the arrival of the railroad.

Lecture on Thursday, August 20, at 6:30 p.m.: Marino Maggetti, Professor Emeritus, University of Fribourg.
