Bird’s eye map
A bird’s eye map is the depiction of a landscape from a great height on a leaning image plane. Unlike bird’s eye views, which are composed more freely from an artistic perspective, bird’s eye maps are geometrically accurate. As there are all possible transitional forms, however, a precise determination of the geometric properties can be difficult. Bird’s eye maps are popular as they show the third dimension more clearly than conventional maps.
